The July, 2000 "Photo of the Month" is a composite image. The Sentara Hospital helicopter had 8 hours of operating time left on the engine before a major overhaul was due, so we chose to photograph it on the ground and add it as a layer to the aerial. Blurring the rotors to simulate flying is always tricky.
